6-14 Class Lecture
In class we talked about copyright and piracy. Copyright was created around the time of the printing press. I learned that it wasnt the author, but the printers who wanted this implemented. We also discussed net neutrality which I also found interesting. Net Neutrality gives everyone fair access to the web. The youtube clip we watched implied that they want to control/govern the internet. I'm against any restrictions that limits internet access. We also discussed piracy from sites like napster. The effects of piracy to the music and movie industry. The fact that media has become digital has given more authenticity to whatever files you now want to download.
